Andrea Furedy was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. At 19, she graduated from cosmetology school and moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she began her creative pursuit in the beauty industry with Toni & Guy Hairdressing. She won two national photographic awards for hairdressing by the age of 23, and held the title of Regional Educational Director. Andrea’s passion shifted from behind the chair to behind the lens and shortly after, her own photographic work was published in Vogue Italia online. 

Andrea’s career shifted into the film industry upon moving to Austin, Texas in 2014. She launched a photography and videography company specializing in documentary style wedding films in 2016, then expanded her focus to corporate and documentary work in 2019. Her curiosity in people drew her to a journalistic and human-focused exposition, winning her a Webby Honoree award in Public Service & Activism in 2022.  Andrea is currently working on a years long documentary project focusing on mental health and her own journey towards discovering that she is Autistic.
