About Andrea

Andrea Furedy was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She pursued her childhood dream of hairdressing immediately after high school, launching her career with Toni & Guy in Tucson. By 23, she had won two national photographic awards and served as Regional Educational Director from 2002-2011. Her passion soon shifted to photography, with work published in Vogue.it.

The evolution of Andrea's career into the film industry was further fueled upon moving to Austin, Texas in 2014. As an autodidact, she developed a unique and adaptive approach to her filmmaking, launching a photography and videography company specializing in documentary style wedding films in 2016, then expanding her focus to corporate and documentary work in 2019. Her tactical prowess and impassioned curiosity drew her to a journalistic and human-focused exposition, winning her a Webby Honoree award in Public Service & Activism in 2022.

Andrea is currently working on a few long term projects with her wife Elli Furedy, who runs a boutique manufacturing facility called Fail Factory, as well as an ongoing documentary project focusing on mental health and her own journey towards discovering she is Autistic.
